Each individual user’s needs are unique. Our goal is to provide each user with their own custom Velochair(s) that meets those needs. Here, you will find our step by step customized purchase process and FAQ.
The price of the Velochair is $5,499 (shipping included within the lower 48 states). Our pricing includes fitting the Velochair to your size, shipping within the Continental US, accessories such as pedals, bell, bag and ObusForme cushions. To order your Velochair a 50% deposit is paid to start construction. When your Velochair is ready to be shipped the 50% balance is due before shipping.
Measurements are unique to each individual, and we want to make sure that the Velochair fits like a glove. Once we’ve established our initial call or Zoom, we’ll send you our Measurements sheet that asks for things like inseam and leg length.
The Velochair® is built to careful standards and under normal use such as: speeds no greater than 4MPH, weight of user not above 285lbs, and traveling over impediments no higher than 2 inches the Limited Warranty is honored for a period of 12 months from the delivery date. This warranty does not cover device failure due to owner misuse or negligence, or normal wear and tear. The warranty does not extend to normal wear items such as tires and brake pads (usually last over 1000 miles), accessories, caster wheels, all of which are subject to normal wear.
We think the Velochair is great, however we want you to decide for yourself. If you are not satisfied with the Velochair for any reason, it can be returned to us for a full refund. You must notify us of the return within two weeks after you have received the Velochair, pay for the return shipping, insure there is no damage to the Velochair and we will be happy to refund your full payment.
It’s rare that maintenance will be required with the Velochair. Though if it does need a tune up, you can always bring your Velochair to an experienced bicycle mechanic for adjustments. We recommend doing so at least once a year. The current maximum recommended user weight is 285 pounds.
The included seat cushion is made by Obusforme and ergonomically designed using high-density fire-retardant foam. (maybe put in link to Obusforme), The seat cushion support webbing will accommodate many individual user cushions.
The VeloChair is designed with inherent stability using the 4-tire design. Many 3 tire designs require additional outriggers for stability. Using the Velochair 4-tire design helps to keep the turning radius tight.
